Descriptions
Descriptions, or descriptive video, take something visual and described it to audiences who are blind or partially sighted. This is achieved by using audio.
Described Video (DV) uses a secondary audio track synchronized with media to provide aural representation of visual narrative of a program's non-verbal elements that may include surroundings, costumes and body language.
Integrated Described Video (IDV) produces video content for blind and partially sighted audiences from the ground up. The identification of key visual elements is incorporated into the pre-production, production and post-production phases, eliminating the need for traditional DV after the program has been packaged.
Live Described Video (LDV) is similar to post-production DV, but is performed in real-time during a live event or program. Live DV weaves additional description into what’s already included.
